A Big Yes and a small no
After surviving a kidnapping in Colombia, a trial for felony assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer, not to mention kicking a heroin addiction while completing his MA overseas at Bristol University in England, Kevin Kendrick decided that life was too short to keep denying his true love of pop music. Kendrick followed his dreams to New York City and, upon arrival, abandoned his classical and jazz upbringing to start Brooklyn-based A Big Yes and a small no. Calling on his former band mates from the critically acclaimed Fat mama, Kenrdick, Jonathan Goldberger, Sir Joe Russo, Erik Deutsch, and Jonti Siman assembled a group hailed as "the hippest pop band you've ever heard in your life" by Village Voice critic Richard Gehr, and released Jesus That Looks Terrible On You in May of 2008 to much critical success and heavy college radio play. With their sights set on finding the right help for releasing the next record, A Big Yes and a small no plan on entering the studio again this summer.
Band of Changes
Harford & Band of Changes operates in the free zone outside rock's usual categories. He has a foot in country, a hand in seventies rock, a toe in folk, a finger in post-punk. Led by Chris Harford, The Band of Changes is a revolving door concept that features a loose consortium of over fifty musicians.
