Have you ever had the dream of one of your beers on tap at a local brewery?

High Desert Brewing Co. is teaming up with Mesilla Valley Homebrew Club to provide you with that opportunity!
Mesilla Valley Homebrew Club will be hosting a homebrew competition. The homebrewed beer with the most votes (popular among homebrewers) will be brewed at High Desert. The brewer and any assistant brewers will be allowed to help brew the batch at High Desert.

Rules:
Any beer style may be brewed. The only requirement is to use Fermentis BE-256 yeast. Although this is described as an Abbaye dry yeast ideal for Dubbels and Tripels, it has been used in many other styles.

The yeast will be provided by Mesilla Valley Homebrew Club. There are a limited number of slots for this competition so be sure to secure yours by heading over to the club Facebook page and registering. Yeast pick-up will be scheduled for the week of March 5th.

You do not need to be a member of Mesilla Valley Homebrew Club to participate. Any brewer from the surrounding area, including Southern New Mexico and West Texas may enter. You must be present on the day of the competition.

Additionally, High Desert reserves the right to use and modify the recipe as it sees fit. High Desert will need to be sure that the recipe is appropriate for the brewing system and ingredients on hand. Try not to use ingredients that may not readily available in a production facility (use your best judgement).

The competition will be held at the Mesilla Valley Home Brew Club meeting on May 19th at High Desert Brewing Co from 2:00 to 5:00. Bring 6 bottles to share with everyone, and keep two bottles in reserve for High Desert.

All entry bottles need to be 12 oz plain brown bottles, no embossed or odd shaped bottles.
