Call Center Pop-Up v Twelve Mile Limit
It may not always feel like it, but our representatives are listening. One of the most effective ways to make our voices heard is by using them to call our Senators, Congresspeople, and other members of the government. So why not come to the bar and we can all do it together!
We'll provide phone numbers, talking points, and materials to write letters (which are another great way to make your opinion known). Our friends at El Buho might bring a little Mezcal. You bring your phone and your voice.
Does it work? Let's look at the results. The last time we hosted a call center was shortly after the president dismissed FBI director James Comey. We encouraged attendees to call the Department of Justice and ask for the appointment of a special counsel to oversee the investigation. Just a few days later, one was appointed, and a "public outcry" was one of the reasons.
Did we put it over the top? Maybe. Who knows. But it's a Friday afternoon and the bar will be open for lunch. Let's do something together!
