DOWN Relaunch - Eric Cloutier All-Night Long v Paloma
I've decided to relaunch my old monthly party from NYC, DOWN, here in Berlin, and I'm celebrating the new venture by doing what I did ten years ago - an all-night set of deep, dubby house and techno cuts.
The general ethos of the party is to play things that you normally would never get to play out - the B-sides of hit records, the slower, moodier jams that are typically reserved for the early hours, and the moody, deep cuts that you purchase because they're amazing but they never get heard outside of your flat. Ideally maxing out at about 120bpm and never really being an over-the-top party, DOWN is about relaxing with a good drink, close friends and great music in an intimate setting on a Wednesday evening. In coming months there will be a variety of guests coming through to join me on the turntables, but there will also be all-night sets from myself and others as well.
