In honor of Women's History Month and International Women's Day, we will be collaborating with Rise Up For You for an empowering event. Empowered Women Network: We're Better Together, will take place on March 27th from 6pm-8:30pm and will include dinner, activities amongst the women to better connect, and a panel of women who have made honorable achievements in their industry. Topics will be current women issues such #metoo, bridging the pay gap, and to wrap it up how women can support one another and work collectively to lead in the workforce and other areas to positively impact humanity.

We will be supporting a number of women-owned booths and vendors as they bring their latest products to shop. This is one event you do not want to miss.

SUMITA BATRA
Sumita Batra is an Entrepreneur, Celebrity Stylist, and CEO of Ziba Beauty, a brow threading and waxing brand. Ziba, a concept inspired by Sumita’s curiosity and passion for authentic eastern beauty traditions, introduced the Art of Threading™ to the United States 30 years ago and has dominated the category ever since. Ziba Beauty currently has 13 studios in Los Angeles and one in the Bay Area. In addition to building a brow empire Sumita has launched two niche cosmetic lines, authored a book and produced 2 documentaries. Her book, The Art of Mehndi, showcases Sumita’s work with celebrity clients like Beyonce, Madonna, Naomi Campbell, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Aniston, and details her mehndi methodology and technique. Her work has also graced the pages of Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Mademoiselle and The New York Times Magazine.

JODI WALKER
Jodi Walker is the founder and Chief Creative Catalyst for Success Alliances. She is an entrepreneur, award-winning speaker, coach, and consultant known for her high energy presentations. Jodi was once described by an LA Times reporter as having “seemingly endless energy.” She works with individuals and organizations who want to challenge assumptions, connect the dots and take their business to the next level. Jodi is also the recipient of the prestigious Certified Speaking Professional credential. Fewer than 350 women in the world have received this designation from the National Speakers Association and the Global Speakers Federation. Jodi has received the Certificate of Congressional Recognition from Judy Chu Member of Congress, 27th District for recognition of high standards of excellence and outstanding achievements. She also received the CASA-LA 2017 Outstanding Advocate Award for volunteer work as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster youth. Jodi resides in Southern California with her family, prides herself on being curious and loves creative activities.

GRETCHEN HYDO
As well as a keynote speaker nationally syndicated advice columnist, and thought leader Gretchen Hydo has spent over ten years working, hands-on, with individual clients, name brands, and notable companies. Before becoming a certified professional coach, Gretchen launched and operated a successful public relations firm, Chatterbox PR Ink. Her ability to provide entrepreneurial tools, PR acumen, and real-world practical advice have all contributed to the unprecedented results she produces for her coaching clients today. Gretchen is a frequent speaker, trainer, and executive coach at Universal Music, the University of Southern California, and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. As a thought leader in her field, she is regularly featured in A-list publications, including the Chicago Tribune and Fast Company. She is also the author of #AskGretchen, an advice column (syndicated in WE Magazine for Women, Valley Women, and PunchBubKids) that offers readers insight regarding relationships, business, careers, money, and love.

CASSANDRA MILLER
Cassandra Miller is a serial entrepreneur who has spent her career building, developing and growing service businesses. Millers unique skill set is best described as a Business Architect. She sees the vision for an organization and translates the company vision to an intricate structure of technology, service, operations, and innovative customer experiences. Cassandra most recent start-up, See Jane Go, was a uniquely feminine ride hail start-up that aims to improve access for women to the benefits of the sharing economy by creating a safer more comfortable ride and flexible income-earning opportunities. Similar in concept to Uber, but female passengers will get a female driver every time. She was a founding executive of the team and served initially as the COO and was later promoted to CEO and a member of the Board of Directors. She was responsible for leading the organization from the early stages of a start-up to a beloved brand in the ride-hail space. Cassandra has also been sought out for her ability to translate data and disparate company information into meaningful dashboards and actionable metrics to enhance the ongoing and strategic decisions of her businesses. UC Irvine, Paul Merage School of Business recognized this talent and in conjunction with a tenured professor has taken her methods and developed a course in the Strategic use of Data in Management for the business schools Executive Education Program. She co-teaches this course for executive-level students. Miller earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UC Irvine. In 2010, she graduated with honors from UC Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business, Executive MBA program. Along with her entrepreneurial pursuits, Cassandra is passionate about rebuilding the lives of the hungry and homeless and expanding opportunities for individuals to access a living wage. She serves on the Board of Directors for Pathways of Hope (www.PathwaysofHope.us) and volunteers in several capacities, including regular speaking appearances, to advance the opportunities for the less advantaged in Orange County, CA and beyond.
