Wakefield's largest Music & Culture Festival returns in 2018 - and this time the vast majority of it is free to attend.
The heart of the Long Division Festival experience, Saturday June 2nd will see close to 100 performances and events take place across the entirety of Wakefield city centre, from the morning right through until midnight.
Our city takeover includes performances and exhibitions taking place in the stunning Wakefield Cathedral, the city’s largest music venue Warehouse 23, the Elizabethan Gallery, an outdoor BBC Introducing stage on the Bull Ring, Neon Workshops, Wakefield Beer Exchange, Jolly Boys Tap, Wah Wah Records and many more additional pop -up events and spaces to be announced.
There will be music. There will be spoken word. There will be workshops. There will be things we simply don’t know how to describe.
90% of the performances on Saturday will be free to access and open to all. 90% of the performers will be brand new to the festival.
