Den New York baserede saxofonist og komponist Seamus Blake er anset som en særdeles fin eksponent for moderne jazz, og han er blandt andet blevet hyldet af John Scofield, der hyrede Blake til hans "Quiet Band" og kaldte ham "extraordinary, a total saxophonist." Jesse van Ruller har ligeledes modtaget international anerkendelse for hans lette, lysende og flydende guitarspil, og store navne som Pat Metheny, Jim Hall og John Scofield har tilkendegivet deres respekt for den virtuose hollænder. Denne aften er vi beærede over at kunne præsentere en helt ny konstellation af anderkendte improvisatører på den internationale jazzscene. New York based saxophonist/composer Seamus Blake is recognized as a fine exponent of contemporary jazz and has been praised by John Scofield, who hired Blake for his "Quiet Band," and called him "extraordinary, a total saxophonist." Jesse Van Ruller is being praised for his bright, fluent guitar playing by fellow colleagues such as Pat Metheny, Jim Hall, and like Seamus Blake, by John Scofield. Here at Jazzhus Montmartre we are excited to present a brand-new collective consisting of some of the most celebrated improvisers on the international jazz scene right now. After playing together in various projects and constellations, Seamus Blake, Jesse Van Ruller, Daniel Franck and Ivars Arutyunyan decided to unite in one powerful collective to create a strong and unique musical statement by performing both original music and songs that they love.
