Sixties Explosion v Braintree Arts Theatre
By popular acclaim The FOD band return to Braintree Arts Theatre. Last July they came here with their very successful `Searchers and Hollies Experience` show. On Friday July 13th 2018 they return with their brand new Sixties Explosion show that features many hits from the most dynamic, high energy decade in pop music history.
Enjoy a night of magical nostalgia from these four experienced musicians. Listen to the haunting melodies that were the backdrop of the Sixties. FOD have a unique insight into the Legends of the Sixties - Lead Guitarist Martin Donald was formerly Musical Director to the Drifters. Lead Singer Geoff Thomas has appeared on many sixties shows featuring The Supremes, The Searchers, Chubby Checker and The Tremeloes to name just a few. The two ‘Simons’ are the driving force in the band. Simon Dove, whose drum feature has long has long been a big part of the show, and Simon Rownes, on Bass and Vocals - a fantastic talent who adds an amazing dimension to the band. There will be fun and surprises and the madcap humour that The FOD band are known for. Come along and watch the Sixties come alive.
