In the words of lyricist Ana Nowosielska, the Glasgow rock band are “painting stories in real life” with their infectious brand of pop-rock.
Formed in 2010, this hard-working band have travelled along the traditional route of playing small venues up and down the country. Those efforts look set to bear fruit as the stages, crowds and fanbase all are becoming bigger, alongside the bands they are playing with. Career highlights so far include the release of two EPs and a full-length debut album, which Kerrang! Magazine awarded KKKK in a stellar review.
The band also completed a 5-week tour of the Philippines and Japan in late 2017. Altered Sky has shared the stage with the likes of Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Mallory Knox, Neck Deep, The Wonder Years, State Champs and Th Click an image to watch music videos Waves Bury It All Livewire Stupid In The Dark “They’re Scottish and they’re brilliant!” Johnny Doom - Kerrang Radio All 4 singles; Bury It All, Waves, Stupid in the Dark and Livewire, released from their debut album ‘Without Wonderland’, have been aired on Kerrang Radio with their videos making appearances on the likes of Kerrang and Scuzz TV regularly.
The 4-piece returned from a tour of the Philippines and Japan at the end of 2017 which saw the band’s profile and fanbase explode overseas. Recently signing to international booking agency Artery Global, Altered Sky look to broaden their touring horizons even further. With accolades from Apple Music and Huffington Post, and broadcasting legend “Whispering” Bob Harris even saying “remember the name”, the band is hotly tipped to reach new heights with each release. Altered Sky are currently in talks with several labels about the band’s second album, which is being written and recorded for release in 2019. The sophomore release will incorporate a heavier, darker sound than the band’s previous effort; a nod to the now greater range of influences on the group’s new line up.

2013 saw the start of Neshiima. 5 years later, the sound had been refined to what
could be classed as a crossover of hip hop, metal and electronica. Here’s a
breakdown of how Neshiima came to be what they are now...
Distance’ The debut release featuring popular live crowd pleaser ‘Madness’. This
release unleashed Neshiima to the Glasgow rap metal scene.
‘Beware of Gifts’
The second Neshiima EP was released in August 2015 after a successful crowd funding project. This release was a concept EP based on a story
from Japanese mythology. The EP was also accompanied by a comic book to visually tell this story, written by
members of the band
Single ‘The Cycle’ was featured on Metal Hammer’s free CD in the September 2015 issue
.Neshiima appeared at UK Tech Fest in July 2015 in the lead up to release.
Neshiima returned into 2017 with a brand new single called “Livid” which introduced a new direction in sound and received incredible feedback this launched them back into the live scene which included a near capacity headline show at Glasgow’s King Tuts and a headline slot at Metal Mayhem festival in Fife. In 2018, Neshiima released the first of a series of three new EPs
‘Purple’. This was released on 23/3/18 and was accompanied by two music videos for singles
‘Here Forever’ (featuring Renny Carroll of Forever Never) and ‘Believe’. ‘Here Forever’ was released on 26/2/18 exclusively by Meta l Hammer and was played by Alex Baker on Kerrang! Radio in the lead up to release.
The music video for ‘Here Forever’ was repeatedly played on Kerrang! And Scuzz TV
from March onwards and is still included on some of their daily playlists.
As of July 2018, ‘Here Forever’ and ‘Believe’ have collectively racked up over 60,000
Spotify plays.The second instalment of the EP series is setto be released in September with the
Band set for a UK tour in October. The third instalment will be released late 2018/early 2019.
