The Great Texas BBQ Festival is proud to announce its inaugural event taking place April 21-22, 2018 in downtown Houston. The two-day celebration of Texas BBQ, music and beer will feature a world-class competition between the state’s top BBQ teams, a lineup of 20 Americana, Country, and Soul acts performing on two stages, and an impressive and highly curated selection of craft breweries. Taking over DOWNTOWN Houston’s historic Sam Houston Park, the festival is designed as much to highlight Texas’ rich culinary tradition passed down by pitmasters, as it is to celebrate the sounds and tastes that make the state unique. Though the BBQ will be the central focus of this event, we are announcing our musical lineup first to make room for an exciting coming announce of BBQ teams and participants. This musical lineup pairs Texas stalwarts with Americana, Country, and Soul acts from across the region and country. Notably, this will be the first 2018 performance by The Suffers in their hometown Houston.
Musical performances include:
Robert Earl Keen, Dawes, Morris Day and the Time, The Suffers, Lucero, Nikki Lane, Lee Fields and the Expressions, Wanda Jackson, Brownout, Junior Brown, Futurebirds, Ida Mae, Rich O’Toole, Craig Kinsey, Mike Stinson, Ancient Cat Society, Nick Gaitan, The Mighty Orq, Ali Holder, Clay Melton, and Vinyl Ranch.
