Adrian Ingram's Jazz Dawgs v The Grove, Huddersfield
Band Leader Adrian Ingram is the most well-known teacher of and writer about Jazz Guitar in the UK. The Jazz Dawgs has Adrian with Ian Wroe and Pete Wraith playing 3 different types of guitar to showcase not only his own talent and style but also those of other great players such as Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass and lesser known guitarists of the Western Swing era such as Jimmy Rivers, Jimmy Bryant and Roy Lanham.
The group have arranged pieces for 3 guitars which have previously been the territory of Big Band Swing. Pete’s baritone voice eases its way through swing classics supported by the guitar parts and arrangements.
The Sunday Session at The Grove always features a bass player and other guest musicians. Always upbeat, always entertaining and always fun.
