Always Playing The V̶i̶c̶t̶i̶m̶ v The Tin Music and Arts
Girl in The Armchair presents an evening of Horror this Halloween.
We will be starting our night of terror with ghost stories by our favourite female writers in the darkness of the Coal Vaults, followed by a screening of mini horror shorts by female filmmakers.
Our main feature is a screening of cult horror “A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night” (2014), the directorial debut from Iranian filmmaker Ana Lily Amirpour.
“The first Iranian Vampire Western ever made, Ana Lily Amirpour's debut basks in the sheer pleasure of pulp. A joyful mash-up of genre, archetype, and iconography, its prolific influences span spaghetti westerns, graphic novels, horror films, and the Iranian New Wave." - Kino

There will also be a spooky music video disco as well as an informal chat about the films afterwards. Fancy dress is of course very much encouraged! The best costumes will win prizes.
