Ever so present BRIGID MAE POWER from Ireland weathers through the states to make it on our stage for the first time. Her passion and sincerity bleeds through every downtrodden chord, releasing a little bit of self-discovery with each stroke. POWER’s self-titled debut, released on Tompkins Square in 2016, received wide praise from UNCUT, The Guardian, Irish Times and was featured on NPR World Cafe. Her most recent album, The Two Worlds, came out this year and was written in her hometown of Galway, Ireland. The record touches on lost friendships, discarding unwanted memories and finding the balance that we’re all searching for. Hopefully a little POWER will rub off on us tonight.
