◊ WHAT
Portland visits the border between authentic folk music and contemporary indie-pop, flirting with electronic sounds. Their dreamy melancholy songs are doused in stunning vocal harmonies. They sound timeless and pure. The band achieved a spot in the final of Humo’s Rock Rally in 2016 and this year they were crowned winner of ‘De Nieuwe Lichting’. Their single ‘Pouring Rain’ is a radio gem.
