Under the wing of Bill Cavender and Mike Palese, Mead Mavericks of Black Heath Meadery, you'll learn the basics of fermenting mead (honey wine) and the history of honey. This workshop includes tastings of a variety of honeys and natural meads. You'll witness the process of getting mead prepared to go into fermentation and be introduced to the basic chemistry of mead making and what simple equipment you'll need to begin a lifelong relationship with flowers, bees, yeast and alcohol.
