Cubanske Marialy Pachecos karriere er allerede ganske bemærkelsesværdig. Hendes debutalbum blev produceret af Roberto Fonseca, pianist for legendariske Ibrahim Ferrer (Buena Vista Social Club), og i 2012 blev hun den første kvindelige vinder af Montreux Jazzfestival Solo Piano Competition. Percussionist and drummer Rhani Krija was born in Morocco and is currently one of the world’s most renowned percussionists - in the jazz & world music scene, as well as in the rock & pop scene. As a teenager, he emerged himself in the traditional music styles of northern Africa, which still today, form the foundation of his music and style of playing. With the musically diverse range he possesses, Krija has the ability to play almost any style with authenticity In the summer of 2013, Rhani Krija meet Marialy Pacheco for the first time and both musicians got along instantly - personally and musically. Together they have created “Marocuba”, a unique and fresh sound that arises in a mix of traditional Cuban music, afro-Moroccan rhythms and contemporary European jazz.
