Made famous on the screen by Hollywood star Shirley McClaine and Rat Pack legend Sammy Davis Jnr, let FFBOS transport you back to the swinging 1960s where we meet Charity Hope Valentine, a girl who always looks on the bright side of life and is just looking for love.
Working in a rundown dance hall with her fellow taxi dancers, Charity doesn't have the best of luck with men, with her latest relationship to actor Vittorio Vidal turning sour. Her fortunes soon change when she meets the reserved Oscar Lindquist. Love looks to be on the cards for both but the truth about Charity’s working life is holding her back from showing Oscar the real her.
Will Oscar accept Charity for who she really is? Or will this be another short lived affair for Charity? Featuring classic songs the likes of; ‘If my friends could see me now’, ‘The Rhythm of Life’ and ‘Big Spender’ – Sweet Charity is the much loved stage musical with a huge heart, that will be brought to life by North London’s premier musical theatre company.
