The Heavy Clouds

The Heavy Clouds hailing from Warsaw, Poland are a trio of seasoned musicians: Wojciech Ziemba (Elvis Deluxe, The Black Tapes) - bass, voc.; Bartosz Kanak (Maqama) – git, voc; Piotr Podgórski (Maqama, Lion Shepherd) – dr. The band was formed in 2014 when Bartek and Piotr, after dissolution of Maqama, decided to continue playing together and to explore more rock’n’roll areas. So, they had a guitarist and a drummer, what they needed was a bassist and somebody to handle vocal duties. Soon, Wojtek filled both vacancies and the band’s sound started to crystallise. As a classic rock trio the gentlemen made a liberal use of hard rock, grunge, stoner and punk heritage which resulted in their first recording in 2015. The 8-song material was recorded at Mustache Ministry studio with Marcin Klimczak. A lyric video was made for one of the songs. On 29th December 2015 the band started their concert activity with a debut gig at Warsaw’s SDQ club.
